Newsletter for April 14 - 17

This week we are learning the sight words has and look.  We will also talk about the letters Vv and Xx.  In math we will finish our unit on 3D shapes and will go back to simple addition and subtraction problems afterward.  

Monday April 14 is an early out day!  AM Kindergarten will be from 9:00 to 10:30 and PM Kindergarten will be from 10:45 to 12:45.  

This Thursday is our Easter Egg Hunt!  We are still in need of eggs both for the AM and PM classes.  If you could send just 10 eggs (already filled) before Thursday I would greatly appreciate it.  Also, do not worry about sending your child with a basket.  We are going to be decorating baggies at school.

We are celebrating this week the 10 Year Anniversary of our school!  On Wednesday, have your child wear their RIVERSIDE TSHIRTS for a huge school-wide picture!  It will be taken at 2:15 so AM children are welcome to come if parents can bring them.  On Thursday there will be a talent show in the afternoon.  It will be at 2:15 as well.  Again, AM children are welcome to come if they can.  But their parents will have to be with them.

There will NO SCHOOL this Friday April 18 or Monday April 21.  Also, the following Monday April 28 will again be an early out day.

Looking ahead, our class graduation will be on Friday May 9.  The AM class will begin their program at 9:15 and the PM class will begin their program at noon.  Please arrive a little early to get a seat.  

Also please let me know if you need a specific date/time for your child's post-assessment!  I will be sending out your scheduled date/time in a week.
