Newsletter for December 1 - 5

This week we are learning about the sight word have and the letter Cc.  In math we will finish our unit on composing and decomposing numbers to 10.

Remember that this Monday December 1 is an early out day.  We will be on Friday short schedule: AM kindergarten will be from 9:00 to 10:40 and PM kindergarten will be from 11:35 to 1:15.

Looking ahead, our classroom Christmas party will be on Friday December 19.  That will also be the last day of school until we return from Christmas break.  School will resume on Monday January 5.

Now that the weather is getting colder, please make sure your child brings a coat/jacket to school.  Especially in the mornings, I will not let students out to recess if they are not wearing one.  We want to keep all students save and healthy.

Newsletter for November 17 - 21

Remember, this week there will be NO KINDERGARTEN on Monday and Tuesday.  The rest of the week we will be on Friday Early-Out schedule: AM kindergarten will be from 9:00 to 10:40 and PM kindergarten will be from 11:35 to 1:15.  If you have forgotten your scheduled time for parent-teacher conferences (SEPs)  please check the website: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c044da5a62caafc1-november

Also, please make sure you are on time to your appointment and that your child is with you --they will be showing you what they have learned this trimester!

Even though it's SEP week we are learning a new sight word and letter!  Our new sight word will be to and our new letter will be Nn.  

Next week will be Thanksgiving and there will be NO SCHOOL on Wednesday November 26, Thursday November 27 and Friday November 28.  School will resume on Monday December 1.  Looking ahead, our class Christmas party will be on Friday December 19.  That will also be the last day of classes before Christmas Break.  School will resume on Monday January 5.

Newsletter for November 10-14

This week we are reviewing the sight words see and go.  We are also reviewing the letters Tt and Ii.  In math we will begin a new unit on composing and decomposing numbers to 10.  Please continue practicing writing and recognizing (out of order) numbers 0-20 with your child.

Remember, next week there will be NO KINDERGARTEN on Monday November 17 and Tuesday November 18.  Then the next three days (November 19-21) will be on a Friday short schedule: 9:00-10:40 for the AM and 11:35 to 1:15 for the PM.  If you have not signed up for an SEP appointment please do so at this time.  If you have not picked a time by Wednesday November 12, I will assign you a date and time.  The link to sign up is http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c044da5a62caafc1-november

The following week after SEPs is Thanksgiving break.  There will be NO SCHOOL from Wednesday November 26 to Friday November 28.  School will resume on Monday December 1.
