I hope everyone had a terrific Presidents Day weekend! I sure enjoyed my time off! This week we will be reviewing the sight words: do, this, and and what. We will also review the letters: Ee, Bb and Ll. For social studies we will be discussing state and national symbols, tying it into Presidents Day.
Remember that next week is SEP week! There will be NO kindergarten on Monday Feb. 27 and Tuesday Feb. 28. For the rest of the week we will be on early out schedule: AM kindergarten being from 9:00 to 10:40 and PM kindergarten being from 11:35 to 1:15. Also looking ahead, Spring Break is right around the corner! There will no school March 12-16.
This Friday at 2:00 our school will be hosting a 5K for all students, parents and teachers! This will be a really fun event! Please join us if you can!

Newsletter for February 13-17
Sorry I am late again posting our class newsletter! This week we are studying the sight words and and what. We are also going to learn about the letters Bb and Ll. In math we are exploring numbers 11-15 and in social studies we will begin our Presidents & Patriotism unit.
Tomorrow is Valentine's Day!!! It's going to be a fun and busy day! We will be passing out Valetines first thing, then having a "healthy" Valentine's snack and finish with some V-Day centers! Thank you in advance for helping your child make their Valentine's boxes! I cannot wait to see them all!!!
Don't forget that next Monday is Presidents Day and there will be no school. Then the following week is SEP week. Monday Feb. 27 and Tuesday Feb. 28 there will be no kindergarten sessions. The rest of the week we will be on early out schedule: AM session 9:00 to 10:40 and PM session 11:35 to 1:15. Please make sure that you check the yellow paper that I sent home today with your student to verify your SEP appointment. If your scheduled time does not work please let me know ASAP. My schedule is very tight and can be hard to re-arrange.

Newsletter for February 6-10
Sorry this newsletter is late! It has been a busy week, and it's only Tuesday! This week we are learning the sight words do and this. Our new letter is Ee. In math we will continue to work on grouping and separating numbers. For science we will be discussing and observing changes in the weather.
Be aware that next Monday February 13 is an early out day due to teacher training. AM kindergarten will be from 9:00 to 11:00 and PM kindergarten will be from 12:00 to 2:00. The following day, February 14 will be Valentine's Day. We are going to have a Valentine's snack, Valentine's centers and we will be passing out candy. Please make sure your child brings a box of some sort to put their Valentines in! Everyone should have received a note from me explaining that the students are to decorate their boxes at home and bring them on the 14th.
