Newsletter for December 2 - 6

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  This week we will be learning about the sigh word have and the letter Cc.  In math we will be starting a new unit on addition.  Please continue to help your child learn their numbers 0-20 (both recognizing and writing).

November reading calendars are due this week!  Remember to bring them in and your child will receive another charm for their necklace.  If you have lost your calendar, just write down how many minutes you and your child read (more or less) for the month of November on a piece of paper.

Looking ahead, our class Christmas party will be the last day of school before we go on break.  It will be Friday December 20.  We will return to school on Thursday January 2.

Our classes' Christmas tree will be up and decorated by December 4.  It will be located at the Zions Bank on River Road (kitty corner from Harmons) and you are more than welcome to stop by with your students to see the final product!  I am still in need of 2 or 3 moms to help me out on the 4th to decorate the tree!  Please let me know if you can help!!

One more reminder that as it starts to get colder outside, students will NOT be allowed out to recess if they do not have a coat/jacket.  Long sleeves are not enough and even hoodies will start become too thin.  Be thinking about winter coats.

If you have any questions or concerns please let me know!  Thank you!  jenny.jacobson@washk12.org or 668-5027

PS:  We finally got our reading retreat!  Thank you SO much for your donations!!!  The kids are loving it!!!
