This week we are learning the sight words with and my. We are also learning about the letters Qq and Jj. In math we will continue to work on grouping, sharing and fractions. Don't forget that Monday is Bubble Day! If possible, have your child bring in a small bottle of bubbles! Also this Wednesday will be Circus Day! Students can dress up as a clown or as silly as they can! It should be a fun (but also academically rewarding!) week!
Looking ahead, Monday May 6 will be Popcorn Day (bring a bag of your favorite popcorn to share!), Wednesday May 8 will be Ice Cream Day (I will provide everything) and Thursday May 9 will be Beach Day (bring a beach towel).
Also, on Friday May 10 we will have our classroom program. All family members are invited to come. It will be held in my classroom (RM 2) at 9:15 AM and at 12:00 PM. Please come a few minutes early as we tend to fill up quickly. The program will be no more than 15-20 minutes and then you are free to take your child home. I hope everyone will be able to attend!
I will be sending out a note about our Staheli Farms field trip this week --make sure to check your child's folder! That activity will be on Monday May 20 from 9:15 to 1:15.
