I cannot believe it's almost February! How time flies when you're having fun! This week we will be reviewing the sight words are, for and you. We will also review the letters Hh, Dd and Rr. Our Treasures Unit 6 assessment will be Friday, so please make sure your child is on time to school.
Looking ahead, on Thursday February 9 our school will be helping out at Harmons! Please feel free to stop by that evening with your child for some games and activities. 5% of your grocery bill will go to Riverside Elementary! It's a great way to raise money for our school!
Also looking ahead, Monday February 13 will be a short day due to teacher training. AM kindergarten will go from 9:00 to 11:00 and PM kindergarten will go from 12:00 to 2:00. The following day Tuesday February 14 will be our Valentine's Day party. If any parents would like to help out please let me room mothers know ASAP. My AM room mothers are Jill Nielsen 862-9829 and Ashley Peterson 862-4317. My PM room mothers are Brandy Milne 619-1106 and Megan Paxman 862-9280.
One more date to remember is Monday February 20, which is Presidents Day, there will be no school. SEPs will be the week of February 27 through March 2. There will be no kindergarten Monday February 27 or Tuesday February 28 and then the rest of the week we will be on Fast Friday schedule.
