This is our last full week of school! It seems like only yesterday we were starting out the school year... I guess time flies when you're having fun!
This week we are reviewing the sight words: with, my, me and where. We are also reviewing the letters: Jj, Qq, Yy and Zz. We will also be finishing up our last math unit. The last day for take home books is Thursday. Please make sure you return your books. This is also the last week for centers. I really appreciate the mothers who have helped out with our take home library AND centers! It makes the world of difference to have you involved!
This Friday May 11 is our class program. I will be sending a note home to remind you on Monday. AM kindergarten will have their program at 9:30 AM and PM kindergarten will have their program at 12:00 PM. Parents and other family members are welcome to come. Please arrive a little early due to the fact that we do not have a lot of room inside my classroom and we fill up very quickly.
Remember that there is NO KINDERGARTEN Monday May 14 to Thursday May 17. Also, our field trip to Staheli Farm will be Friday May 18. I will send a reminder note home about the field trip at the end of the week.
The last day of school for kindergarten is Tuesday May 22. We are going to be wearing pajamas to school that day.
